Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated in United States the first full week of May.
Date: Mon, May 8, 2023 – Fri, May 12, 2023
Ideas for Teacher Appreciation Week
1. Make a Card
Teachers love getting handmade things from students, especially when it comes from the heart. Children can make cards with paper, crayons, markers, paint, glitter, and write a nice note to the teacher inside. This will teach children the importance of giving, showing appreciation, and caring for others.
2. Pick Flowers
Allow children to pick some flowers from their backyard or on the way to school to give their teacher. This will melt the teachers heart to see a student come in with flowers they picked specially for them.
3. Paint a Pebble
Find a nice size pebble outside, clean it, and paint it vibrant colors. Children can add a sweet quote or note of thanks to the pebble. This is something that a teacher could keep on their desk as a paperweight for fly-away papers or a decorative piece to remember the student.
4. Donate Extra Supplies
The year is not over yet, and some teachers are running low on supplies at the end of the year. Now is the time to donate extra pencils, erasers, crayons, cleaning supplies, paper and more. Teachers will appreciate parents noticing this struggle that some teachers may have after ten months of students working hard.
5. Send a Gift Card
Teachers absolutely love gift cards, no matter the amount it is worth. Show some love to a teacher by giving them a gift card to buy on-the-go coffee, breakfast, lunch, or even dessert. They will truly thank you for it!
