Anxiety
Anxiety, fear, worry... We all have it, it is normal, it has a purpose. That purpose is broken when it gets too big and takes over how you feel, act, and keeps you from enjoying the things that you love. The secret that most people don't realize is that it is within your control to regain control of your worries and replace it with joy. There are some things in life that we can't control, prevent, or escape, such as the weather. That's when you can use the worry hat or worry box. Ready, set, relax, and enjoy!
My favorite anxiety book: Wilma Jean the Worry Machine
Wilma Jean worries a lot... It gives her the worry flu. Until she learns which worries she can control and what worries to put in the worry hat.
Worries you can control
If you worry about a test: find someone to help you study.
Realize what causes your worries beforehand.
Make a plan ahead of time.
Implement your plan with support.
Worries you cannot control
You cannot control the weather!
For worries you cannot control, use the worry hat. Think your worries into the hat, let the hat hold them for you so that you can enjoy the good things in life.
