100th Day of School Celebrated

K - 5th graders celebrated the 100th day of school on Friday. Students were encouraged to dress as 100 year olds or wear shirts with 100 items.

Throughout the day, classrooms celebrated 100 days. Kindergarten had a math lesson on making 100 in groups of 10s. 3rd grade tried out various 100 activities - doing 100 jumping jacks, standing on 1 leg for 100 seconds, etc.

We are excited to see what the last 80 days of school will bring!

The dates for this summer are June 6 - 24 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. each day. Buses will transport students.

Due to the WV Holiday, there will be no school on June 20.

We will continue with learning with an emphasis on hands -on activities while mastering grade level standards.

Each Friday will be a field trip day and families will need to provide transportation home on that day.

Our 5th graders need to sign up here, but will be attending BUMS for their summer learning.

It is our desire to:

- Provide a nurturing, consistent environment which emphasizes the development of the individual child’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.

- To teach all children so they may achieve their highest academic potential utilizing authentic learning experiences, to build a foundation to become college and career ready, and to be lifelong learners.

- To guide all children in becoming leaders, problem solvers, and listeners.

- To encourage appropriate relationships through parent and community involvement in the school.

Our Goal:

Hodgesville Elementary School will have an increase of at least 1.0 GE growth for 40% of our students as based on beginning of the year to end of the year data for 2021 – 2022 end of year assessments for Math and English Language Arts.
