Queen of the May

Happy May!

When I first looked at my May calendar, my initial reaction was "whoa!" However, as I looked closely at what I had written into the calendar squares, I smiled. It's May...May with its Ribbon Mass, Cinco De Mayo, First Holy Communion, May Crowning, field trips, graduation, and so much more. Some of our most beautiful celebrations are celebrated in May. The sun is getting warmer. The birds are chirping away. And we know this is the last chapter of another successful school year. We will finish strong, work hard until June 3rd, and then enjoy the summer.

May is also the month of Mary. Each morning our second graders assisted by our leaders of the school-our eighth graders lead us in a decade of the Rosary. Each bead on the Rosary is a testimony for our love of the Blessed Mother and her Son.

Happy Mothers' Day

God bless all of our St. Ann mothers and grandmothers! All of you are truly an inspiration!

Wishing you a day of happiness and love.

Congratulations 2016-2017 Student Council Executive Board Elect

It was Election Day at St. Ann's on Monday, and I am very proud to announce our newly elected Student Council. A transfer of power will formerly take place during next week's Awards Night. Congratulations to our Student Council Executive Board-Elect: (from left to right) Chelcie Oparanozie, Madeline Sombong, Mia Dabrowski, Alejandra Vasquez, and CEO Alexis Zamudio.

These young ladies had some wonderful ideas to lead our Future Full of Hope; I look forward to working with them and the entire Student Council.

Congratulations to our 2016-2017 Scholarship Winners

The following students will be awarded a $500 tuition scholarship for the 2016-2017 school year. Awards were based on academic merit and issued by our scholarship committee. Donations for the scholarships came directly from local businesses and parishioners. Our Scholarship Presentation Assembly will take place on Wednesday, May 11th at 1 p.m. in Church.

St. Ann School will once again award scholarships on academic merit as well as private scholarships based upon financial need. It's the best of both worlds. I would like to especially thank Mrs. Mary Wegrzyn for assisting me with our Merit Scholarship Program.

Congratulations to this year's St. Ann School Merit Scholarship Winners:

  • Lukas Rincon
  • Opra Thomas
  • Kelvin Haywood
  • Roman Lopez
