Spirit Week ~ Fall 2021

Staff and students had a great time this week celebrating spirit week! Favorite Team (Monday), Mismatch (Tuesday), Pajamas (Wednesday), School Colors (Thursday), & Costumes (Friday)!

Parents...

There is no school on Tuesday, November 2nd.
There is a half day Friday, November 5th. Dismissal is at 11:30am (no lunch is served).
Students are accumulating too many absences and tardies. This is not helping our children. They need to be at school, on time, every day.

Student Learning Experiences

Students enjoyed wonderful fall-themed learning experiences this month!

Ms. Naemi and our English Language Learners enjoyed a cross-curricular activity with pumpkins! The students made a prediction about how many seeds they believed were in the pumpkin, counted their seeds, graphed their count, determined if their prediction was correct, and wrote about the stages of growing a pumpkin.
Ms. Treece, Ms. Ainsworth, Ms. Pace, & Ms. Thomas took their students on a learning excursion to Blake's Apple Orchard in Armada, MI.
Mrs. Finkelshteyn's students enjoyed Pumpkin Math on Friday! Students took out seeds from their pumpkin, counted their seeds, and recorded their numbers! Then they decorated their pumpkins!
