Here is a quick checklist of paperwork you need to distribute and/or have families sign at the beginning of the year for documentation:

o Your school specific Parent Involvement Policy/Family Engagement Policy

o UCPS cover letter for above policy

o Your school specific Parent Compact

School Improvement Plans

Be sure you are revisiting School Improvement Plans with stakeholders (parents) and school improvement teams. Save/upload a copy of school improvement plan to monitoring site.

Parent Compacts

Finalize compacts that were reviewed and updated last Spring in consultation with parents and school staff. Compacts must be school specific and sent home on school letterhead. These must be signed and returned. Parents and teachers are to use these compacts as a living document and revisit when needed. It is recommended that the teacher have access to these throughout the year. Be sure to document on the monitoring site where these signed compacts are located (teachers' classrooms, student agendas, etc.).

Parent Involvement Policies/Family Engagement Policies

Finalize school specific Parent Involvement/Family Engagement Policies that were reviewed and updated last Spring in consultation with parents and school staff. Save/upload a copy to the school web site as well as the monitoring site. Distribute and begin collecting.

Title I Annual Open Meeting

Set a date for your Title I Open Public Meeting (usually at Open House, Curriculum Night, etc.). This should be held within the first 30 days of school (which would be by August 31, 2017). Include the words "Title I Open Meeting" on invitations, agendas, power points, and school website. There is a power point template your school may use for the presentation if desired.
