Health Expectations When Visiting the School

  • When a visitor comes to the school we will utilize a paper questionnaire for health verification, coupled with a temperature check. This process may be completed in advance at home, and brought with you to school, or it may be completed on campus. If you answer yes to any of the questions, do not come to school. Please reschedule your appointment or arrange for a Zoom appointment with your child’s teacher. Click here if you would like to print out and complete the questionnaire prior to arriving on campus. We will provide more details in an upcoming communication about a self-certification app the district plans to use for students who visit school for academic support.

  • Please remember to always bring a driver’s license or ID to check in with the office.

  • Masks are required upon entering the building and must remain on during the entire visit.

  • Upon entering the building, please take a moment to sanitize your hands at the available kiosks.

  • Follow the social distancing and traffic flow patterns that have been designated on the floor of the facility.

  • Social distancing (6 feet or more) must be adhered to when in the building.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

We will be updating our PAWS Matrix to focus on distance learning behavior expectations. Keep an eye out for this VIRTUAL VERSION of our Sunny Hill 3 Be's.

During the school year teachers engage in formative assessments: the ongoing observations and evidence of students’ progress used to inform and guide instruction. Additionally, summative assessments are given in order to measure students’ learning and achievement at specific points throughout the year. These assessments include: MAP, FastBridge, ACCESS, IAR, KIDS, Fountas & Pinnell Benchmarks, and Assessing Math Concepts.

The District is asking 2nd-5th Graders to come into the building for MAP testing. We are creating a schedule to bring in small groups of students for this to occur in the month of September. More details will be sent home directly to the students of these grades. Parents can let us know if they are not comfortable with sending their child into the school. Other assessments will be proctored remotely.

School Pictures

We are postponing our Fall pictures due to distance learning. Updated information will be sent home regarding a future photo opportunity.
