End of School Year Edition

End of Year Collections and Distributions: 6/2 - 6/4

If you have not been able to items that you need to drop off at school (textbooks, fine arts uniforms and/or instruments, novels, library books, *chrome books*, etc.), or items from athletics/dance/pe/art to retrieve please make plans to come at one of these times.


· Tuesday, 6/2 from 1pm - 3pm

· Thursday, 6/4 from 1pm - 3pm


Please have the items ready in the trunk of your car. When you arrive, pull your vehicle into the carpool lane in front of the school. Please stay in your car - if you do not see anyone to assist you, call 469-752-7356 so we can get someone to your vehicle.


*Families have the option of turning in Chromebooks/Chargers at this time or holding them until the week of July 23rd to allow for summer school and other at-home learning opportunities. Families transferring out of PISD or Clark HS boundaries must return their Chromebook/Charger no later than June 4th.*

Summer Grab-and-Go Meals

In partnership with the Texas Department of Agriculture, the Plano ISD Food and Nutritional Services Department will be providing free grab-and-go summer meals to the public beginning, Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the following campus sites:

  • Armstrong Middle School
  • Bowman Middle School – New Site
  • Christie Elementary School
  • Daffron Elementary School
  • Mitchell Elementary School
  • Sigler Elementary School

Updated curbside grab-and-go meal serving times for these locations will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.


Children 18 years of age and younger will receive a lunch for that day and a breakfast for the following day. Anyone picking up meals for students, without the student present, must bring appropriate documentation in the form of a school issued ID, report card, birth certificate or the verification letters families are currently providing during meal pick up.

Support Services Available to PISD Families this Summer

A team of Plano ISD School Social Workers will be available throughout the summer break to assist any PISD families who need assistance with accessing available resources, including help with food, housing, utilities, and other needs. Families in need of counseling services may also contact this team of social workers for direct assistance or referral to an area provider. Both English and Spanish speakers are available. SMU Center for Family Counseling at Plano ISD – FREE Counseling

The SMU Center for Family Counseling at Plano ISD began offering telehealth counseling services free of charge to support the PISD community during the pandemic. During the summer, free counseling services will continue to be available through August 4th. Services are provided by SMU Counseling Program students during their internship and will be supervised by SMU full-time and adjunct faculty.


Services are for adults, children (teleplay), adolescents (teletherapy activity/experiential), couples, and families for a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, behavior difficulties (e.g., opposition, defiance, aggression), grief and loss, peer relationships, stress, trauma, career transition, and parenting. They are also offering an Adult Mindfulness Group, LGBTQ+ Adolescent Support Group, and an LGBTQ+ Adult Support Group May 26th -August 4th.


Appointments are available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Dual Credit Registration for Fall 2020 - Deadline now 6/1

If you are interested in signing up for Dual Credit courses for the Fall 2020 semester, registration is now open. Please use the links below to assist you with the process. Payment for dual credit courses will be due by June 1st at 8:00 pm.

Summer Verification of Enrollment Forms for DMV

The district has developed an online process for students who wish to request a Verification of Enrollment (VOE) form. While we understand that the Department of Public Safety has temporarily suspended the VOE requirement for students seeking their driver's license or learner’s permit, this process will be available for students to request a VOE form beginning next Monday, May 18. Students may make a request for a VOE form at https://myforms.pisd.edu/Forms/VOE. The form will be completed and returned to the student via email.

Attention 8th and 9th graders: The Clark HS Colorguard is looking for students interested in joining the 2020 Colorguard Season. Currently, clinics and auditions are postponed until further notice.
