What is it?

The Pill, otherwise known as a birth control pill, is a daily pill that contains hormones to change the way the body works and prevent pregnancy. The hormones in the pill control the ovaries and the uterus.

How does it work?

It is basically how you take a normal pill. It is a combination pill containing a combination of the hormones estrogen progesterone to prevent ovulation. A woman cant get pregnant without ovulation.

How well does it work?

The Pill works for about 88% of the time, sometimes there can be an accidental pregnancy. But you must take birth control pills everyday or the risk increases.

The birth control pill doesn't protect against STDs couples having sex must always use condoms along with the pill to protect against STDs
