FAQ Finals
All students will participate in finals as determined by their individual teachers.
My student took an EOC, do they still have a final?
Individual EOC teachers will determine the activity that takes place during final timeslots. Many times this is a unit test or cumulative project for example.
Why do seniors have some classes that have different final times?
In order to accommodate seniors releasing a day early and still honoring our tradition of the bridge walk we had to add additional time slots for senior finals with teachers having the option to create a two-day final to accommodate the typical length of a final. Please note senior finals for 6th, 7th, and 8th hours are spread across two days (5/22 & 5/23).
What will 9th - 11th grade students be doing during 6th, 7th, and 8th hours on 5/22 & 5/23?
These students will be participating in their class as normal. Their finals are set for May 25th.
Why do we have 9th hour on a Wednesday?
9th hour will be used to collect senior Chromebooks and host our annual bridge walk. During this time 9th - 11th grade students will be able to utilize this as study hall time and participate in our annual assembly leading to the bridge walk.
How will a final affect my grade?
Finals are worth 15% of your semester grade.
Will lunch be served on May 24th & 25th?
Yes, a grab-and-go style lunch will be served on both days.
Bridge Walk Specifics
- Loved ones who wish to attend our annual Bridge Walk should arrive by 11:30 am on May 24th.
- Please position on "the other side" (athletic side) of the bridge.
- Anticipate senior students exiting across the bridge between 11:30 - 11:45 am.
- Please park in the Athletic complex lot. Historically parking can be hard to come by, please carpool if convenient.
Dear Junior Parents and Students,
Looking ahead to the 2023-24 school year, please note that all students entering the 12th grade must have received at least one dose of MCV after their 16th birthday. Typically they will have received one dose prior to 8th grade and the second dose after their 16th birthday.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has mandated that the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4) be required for all (virtual and in-person) 12th-grade students. All students starting the 12th grade should have two doses of MCV.
This vaccine is required prior to starting the first day of summer school (even if your child is enrolled in virtual summer school). If your child is not attending summer school, then the record of this immunization is required by the first day of school for the 2022-23 school year.
*** If your student has already received his/her shot for their senior year, please fax or email an up-to-date record to the nurse’s office as soon as possible. This will ensure a much smoother transition into the new school year. If you are not sure if your student is up-to-date, please contact your child’s physician.***
Thank you for your attention to this important matter. Please contact the school nurse if you have any questions regarding this vaccine requirement.
Sincerely,
Lisa Terbrock, BSN, RN, NCSN

Choir Accomplishments
Every summer, choral educators from across Missouri gather for a conference in Springfield. This conference includes several honor choirs, and Mr. Datz is proud to announce that after a round of auditions, we will have a lot of Liberty representation this year!
Four sophomores will sing in the 9-10 Honors Choir: Nicki Bruns, Brandt Cleppe, Vicki Grana, Marissa Varga (pictured left).
Only 15 students in the state were chosen to sing in the highly-selective Missouri All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and 3 of them are Liberty students!
Nora Foeller (senior), Shane Wolz (senior), and Abbie Luker (junior) (pictured center).
Finally, senior Morgan Feinstein was chosen to perform in the Missouri All-State Show Choir, an intense singing and dancing ensemble (pictured right).
To see us perform one last time join us May 22 for our annual Choir Pop Concert at 7 pm.
