Elmdale Early Years School
October Newsletter 2016
The school year has been off to a wonderful start. It has been great to meet all our new families and reconnect with our returning families.
At Elmdale Early Years School, we have launched our new Mission statement that all staff had an opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas.
Mission: To provide a safe and caring learning environment fostering positive relationships, serving students, families, and community.
Beginning October 3rd, Elmdale School will be launching our grade specific home reading guides. Parents will receive a letter from their child's classroom teacher outlining the home reading guide that the teachers at each grade level developed.
We understand that home reading is not always possible to complete every evening. We further understand that every family is different and have a variety of events and commitments outside of school. If at any time the home reading guide that has been set up for your child does not meet your family's needs, please contact your child's teacher and we will be happy to partner with you in establishing what can work for you.
Please see below our first installment video for home reading, we hope that you find the video informative.
Happy reading everyone!
Have a wonderful October!
