Positive Discipline Seminar

Understanding the Kid Brain & Motivation


WHEN: Thursday, October 15, 2015 @ 6:00-7:30

WHERE: Oak Farm Montessori School Victorian Farmhouse


In this 90 minute session, Positive Discipline Lead Trainer and Parent Coach, Dina Emser will provide parents with the latest on brain science as it applies to kids and motivation. Be prepared to learn tips you can use right away to turn potential power struggles into cooperation.

RESERVE A SPOT FOR CHILDCARE it is available for Oak Farm students who are in Primary - Middle School. Please let Macy know when you RSVP. $5 per child.

After School Clubs

After School Clubs will begin soon! Your Kindergarten - Middle School student will be bringing home a sign-up form on Monday.


The clubs that will be offered are:

Monday: Yearbook for Upper & Middle School

Tuesday: Glee Club for Upper & Middle School

Wednesday: Pay it Forward Club for Kindergarten & Lower

Thursday: Chess Club for Kindergarten & Lower


Clubs will run for 6 weeks - starting the week of October 19.

Cost for each club is $25 - we must have a minimum of 8 students in each club.

Clubs will run from dismissal until 4:30.

All School Conferences will be held on:


  • Thursday are being held 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Friday are being held 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

NEEDED: Dog Halters or Harnesses

The Middle School has a few piglets that are growing FAST! In order for these pigs to be comfortable around children (like the Toddler & Primary children when they come visit the farm) they need to be on halters. If you have any large dog halters or harnesses to donate to the school, please email Pat, the Farm Manager, at pcole@oakfarmschool.com

NEEDED: Unused & Lonely LEGOS!

Heather, one of the Middle School teachers, could use any legos for a robotics class she will be starting soon. Please contact her if you have any donate: hlemmon@oakfarmschool.com

NEEDED: NEWSPAPERS!

The Art Room could use some newspapers for various projects and to help keep tables clean. Please bring papers to the various buildings, where the Art Teachers will have a place for collection. THANK YOU!
