Dear Rose Parents,
We definitely are in the middle of winter weather with these extreme temperatures! I hope your children are warm and cozy at home and your family is finding creative ways to have indoor fun! Our students love going outside, but on these extreme temperature days, indoor recess is a relief for all!

I also want to share that Ms. Mary Cannek is joining Rose as our new school psychologist. She will be at Rose on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. She has many years of experience as an elementary school psychologist and is eager to get to know the Rose community and support the SST Team.
Morning Drop-Off: I know the weather has been a challenge this week, but please continue to follow our procedures to ensure the safety of our students and staff in the morning during drop-off in the parking lot. Doors open at 7:45 AM and students need to be seated by 8:00 AM to be marked on time. We often don’t have much traffic until after 7:50, so I encourage you to be in the lot by 7:45 AM so your child has enough time to unpack and get into the classroom. As a reminder, cars must stay single file at the front of the line and students can unload at multiple points on the front sidewalk, not just at the space in front of the door. Once unloaded, cars should pull all the way up to exit the line. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as I know the mornings can be tough!
Kindergarten Round-up: If you have an incoming kindergartener, please join us on Tuesday, February 1st at 6:30 PM at Rose School to learn more about our program. PTO will be joining us as well. This informational meeting is for parents only.
Please also share this information with your neighbors who have children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022.

Please join us for an Elementary Parent University, "Supporting Your Elementary Child in Mathematics" on February 8th, from 6:30-7:30 PM. Susan Resnick, author and researcher, will share valuable information about Math in Focus: Singapore Math, our district math program, as well as practical ideas for assisting your child at home. You can attend either in-person, which is open to the first 50 people who register, or watch via Livestream. More information about this event is attached and linked here.
