Dear Doyle Families,

Next week, November 16-20, 2020, we observe parent/teacher conference week. Monday through Friday, students will have 120 minutes or two hours of live instruction daily. The remainder of the instructional day will feature asynchronous learning. The change to our instructional schedule provides time for teachers and parents to meet and discuss student progress. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have not yet scheduled a parent/teacher conference. It is really important that all parents have the opportunity to connect and discuss how your child is progressing during online learning. Please let your child’s teacher know if you are unable to keep your conference date and time. We want to ensure we are able to maximize the amount of time we have to meet with all families during this time.

We also want to notify you that our voicemail system is not in operation as of Thursday, November 12th. We have worked with the company and the IT department in an attempt to service and fix the system. Today we learned the system is not repairable. We are actively seeking a resolution to this issue, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Please use our staff directory (located on our website) to make contact with the office and to message staff. We will notify you as soon as we have an update on our phone system.

Do you have your Parent Portal account set up? This is a helpful tool for all parents to use throughout their child's school career within the San Diego Unified School District.

You can view daily attendance, update personal information (phone number, address, email address, etc.), and view grades/standards when they become available.

If you have moved out of the Doyle Elementary School attendance boundaries, you will need to apply through the choice program to continue at Doyle. The School Choice Enrollment window is coming to a close. All applications must be in no later than Monday, November 16th.
