Message from PTO
Hello 5th grade Parents,
We’re putting together a slideshow for 5th grade graduation and are hoping to include many fun memories of the children from over the years. Can you please send us 2-3 of your favorite pictures by Sunday, May 16th? We would like only photos of current 5th grade NP students. Small groups are ideal with no more than 3-4 kids per picture. Please add the photos to the Google folder at http://bit.ly/NPmemories. If your student is new to Northpoint, please feel free to send us a baby/toddler picture and/or a current picture of your child that you would like to share. Please contact us with any questions.
E-Learning Chromebook Loaner Return
Virtual Student Material Return
Check out our hallways, and ask your child what things they learned about their continent so far. We have enjoyed hearing and learning about the cultres of our own Northpoint Stars during this study.
If you would like to help donate some items teachers will need for the field day stations please go to the wishlist link below on amazon, and the items will ship directly to the school. Thank you for your continued support.
NEW PROCEDURES FOR CAR POOL LINE!
Due to an increased amount of car riders this year, we need to change our car pool procedures to provide a safer environment for our staff and students. We would appreciate your patience and cooperation as we implement the following new procedures;
1. Once you have entered the curb line up, please wait until you have been ushered forward to begin exiting the car pool line.
2. DO NOT pass around cars at any time while you are in the car pool line.
3. Cars will be stopped at the entrance to the the curb line to allow for all students to enter vehicles and exit safely.
4. Your child will be directed to walk safely to their vehicle that should be stopped along the curb.
5. If you are stopped at the entrance to the car pool line, you will be the lead car that should pull all the way up to the first cone . DO NOT STOP WHERE YOUR CHILD MIGHT BE STANDING.
6. PLEASE STAY OFF YOUR CELL PHONES DURING CAR POOL PICK UP.
7. Watch for the traffic ushers who will be wearing orange vests to direct you when in the curb lane.
We understand that waiting in a long line is frustrating, but we have to think of the safety of our students and staff members. We appreciate your support with these new procedures. Please call Mrs. White at 574-271-8598 or email her at email@example.com if you have any questions.

Two Hour Delay
Here’s what parents need to know to prepare for closings or delays:
Kids Club, our before and after school child care program for elementary students, opens at 6:30 a.m. We have staggering start times for the different schools Therefore, it becomes necessary to notify all parents of a delay or closing no later than 6:00 a.m.
The notification process is designed to let all members of our community know no later than 6:00 a.m.
School Messenger, an automated phone calling, texting and emailing service. It is our primary means of notification. PLEASE VISIT THIS PAGE for steps on how to update your contact information & set your notification preferences in the parent portal InfoCenter. Please note that parents cannot select the option not to receive a phone call; parents can only select not to receive a text message or email. Parents can change their options to receive text messages or emails as many times as they wish. To update your phone number and email address, please contact your child(ren)’s school(s). You will not be able to change it in School Messenger.
These local broadcast television stations are informed: ABC 57, WNDU and WSBT.
