Eagle's Edge
St. Therese Family Newsletter - August 11, 2021
Happy New Year!
I've always loved the celebratory feeling of a new school year - fresh start, filled with potential and possibility! This year will not be without some unknowns and worries with the new variant sweeping through communities, but we were successful keeping our students safe from spread last year, and we will be again.
St. Therese will be fully in person for the 2021-22 school year; online learning will ONLY be available in the event we have a positive case in a classroom that requires us to quarantine and learn from home. We are working on protocols that would prevent quarantine except in the most extreme cases because our goal is to have our students in school as much as possible!
If your kiddos aren't used to wearing masks after a summer of being without them, please begin to get them back in the habit by having them mask up for a little bit each day. We know from the cases we had in our community last year that masks prevent spread in schools and keep us learning in our classrooms, instead of in our living rooms. There will not be a "uniform" mask, so your child is welcome to wear whatever is comfortable (no gaiters or masks with vents).
Our school plan will be released to you by Wednesday, August 25th, and it will also be posted on the website. I'll schedule a back to school virtual meeting to answer any questions you all have. In the meantime, you can call or email anytime and we will happily give you whatever information you would like that we have at this time. I'm attending weekly meetings with the Oregon Department of Education and working with other principals in our region to formulate a safety plan that best serves every student and supports their education and development.
Right now, in this moment, I am grateful for all the opportunities we have going into this year that we didn't have last year. I'm grateful for a full preschool and a total enrollment of 190 eagles! God is so good, all the time - let us continue to put our trust in Him and choose to be faithful each and every day.
Warmly,
Rosemarie El Youssef

Thank you for the support!

Come to the school once per week to make sure all cans/bottles are in blue bags with barcode stickers on them, and then take blue bags to the local BottleDrop for deposit. If we have several parents volunteer we can make a schedule so that the responsibility is shared!

REFERRAL PROGRAM - Bring a friend and get a credit!
Refer a friend to our school and receive ONE MONTH tuition FREE.
The family must fully enroll at St. Therese and stay through the school year - your credit will show on your final billing statement in May 2022.
The family must tell us that you referred them - we will send you a form to complete and return to us so that the credit can be applied. They can note it right on their application form.
Your account and the new family's account must remain in good standing throughout the school year.
This credit does not apply to incidental expenses like hot lunch, extended care, and field trips.
This credit is based on your total tuition divided by 12 payments.
