Hello Cottonwood Family

The months of March and April have been quite busy, that is part of the reason we are halfway into April without a newsletter! In March we took a tour of Hamilton High School with our 8th graders. It has some amazing Career and Technical Education (CTE) coursework that our scholars will be able to take and it is a wonderful place to spend your High School career.

In April the classrooms were visited by a dancing bunny handing out candy! Ask your scholars about it, they had a great time. This month our 4th graders are going to the Ramona Pageant, a wonderful play that has been a tradition for almost 100 years!

Hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and Easter Weekend.

Take Care,

Mr. Trudel

Character Corner

For the month of April our school will emphasize the character trait of "Sensitivity" . Sensitivity can be defined as "Carefully using my senses so I can better respond to the people and situations in my life.

The characteristics of Sensitivity are:

  • I will listen carefully to others.

  • I will watch their language.

  • I will notice their tone of voice.

  • I will put myself in others' shoes.

  • I will show that I care.

We would love to see our students in action demonstrating the character trait of Sensitivity! Please e-mail any pictures of your children to Mrs. Niaves (aniaves@hemetusd.org) demonstrating sensitivity in school, around the house or the community so that we can showcase their efforts!
