Examples for task #7

Simile- Forrest Gump (Movie): Forrest says "Life is like a box of chocolates." I made the word "like" bold-headed, because that is the simile.


Metaphor- Titanic (The movie): Jack says "Life is a gift. And I don't intend on wasting it." "Is" is the metaphor of the line.


Narration- The movie Tangled: Zachary Levi is the narrator in Tangled.


Imagery- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (The Book): This book has fantastically amazing imagery.


Hyperbole- Elf: When Buddy makes it to New York, he goes into a coffee shop called "World's best cup of Coffee". Buddy actually thinks that the store must actually really have the world's best coffee.


Alliteration- The movie Beauty and the beast: Beauty and the Beast is a title of alliteration. "Beauty" and "Beast" both start with the letter "b".


Allusion- Reference to "The Wizard of Oz": In the movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame when the Gargoyle says, "Fly, my pretties, fly," it is an allusion to "The Wizard of Oz"
