Fun With Firsties
September 6, 2016
Curriculum Highlights
Math-This week we will begin our official math curriculum as well. Topic 1 will teach us strategies to use as we solve addition and subtraction problems with answers up to 10.
Social Studies-Our social studies lessons this week will focus on our classroom communities. We will spend time discussing classroom rules, school rules, and ways to be good citizens.
Faith In First
"I praise you, so wonderfully. You made me; wonderful are your works." Psalm 139:14
The First Graders celebrated the beginning of the school year in Religion with Ms. Hubert introducing them to creation. In particular, they discovered that each child is a gift to the world. They came to understand that they are made in the image and likeness of God. And that is very good!
Notes To The Fabulous Folks
- Lunchtime reminder-If you pre-order hot lunch for your child, please be sure to update your child's grade level. We had a few first graders searching for their name on the hot lunch list and they found it on the Kindergarten list!
