THE VIRTUE OF COURTESY

As we wrap up the 2020-2021 academic year we encourage students and parents to continue to live out the virtue of Courtesy over the summer. When we return to ICCS in August, we will focus on more important virtues each month throughout the 2021-2022 school year.

AMBASSADOR FAMILIES STILL NEEDED

In August, we will welcome over 40 new families to ICCS. In an effort to introduce, engage and immerse these new students and parents into the ICCS community and culture, a Family Ambassador program will be implemented. The goal of the program is to help new parents and students feel immediately welcomed and help them navigate and transition to a new school environment quickly and smoothly.

We are in need of more Ambassador Families!

If you are interested in being paired with one of our new 2021-2022 incoming families, please contact Kay Morgan by email at kmorgan@iccsweb.com, or by phone at (337) 433-3497. Current families will be paired with new families according to the incoming student's grade/age and other similarities and interests.

Thank you to the Devall, Gamboa, Hankins, Harrison, Henderson, Hurt, Keating, Kennedy, Phillips and Serrano Families for volunteering to serve as ICCS Ambassador families for the 2021-2022 school year!

2021 ICCS PTO Virtual Auction Update!

A BIG ICCS Panther THANK YOU to Middle School Religion Teacher, Mrs. Milissa Thibodeaux for donating, coordinating, and supervising the 8th Grade Girl's Lock In a few weeks ago! The 8th Grade girls enjoyed a delicious homecooked meal by "Chef T" and an evening filled with hilarious games, bonding time, prayer and reflection opportunities, music, and FUN! The girls reminisced throughout the evening and enjoyed one last night in their soon-to-be "old school." Thank you, Mrs. "T" for your time, energy, and generosity.

The "Sippin on Sweet Bay" and "Broussard Pizza Party" auction parties were recently held. All "party-goers" were treated to delicious food, tasty cocktails, and great company! Thanks a million to Blair Tadlock for hosting "Sippin on Sweet Bay" and to Hillary Green, Kelly Henderson, Corlissa Hoffoss and Kelly Hurt for serving as co-hosts for the evening, and to Monica and Stephen Broussard for hosting the "Broussard Pizza Party," along with Stephanie & Mark Roberston and Ashley & Chris Atkins. KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS PREPARE FOR SPECIAL PERFORMANCE

Ms. House and Mrs. Stine's students have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming Kindergarten Closing Ceremony scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, June 1, in the ICCS Gym. Kindergarten parents, be prepared for an adorable and special performance staring your students!

TAKE YOUR END-OF-THE-YEAR PHOTO NEAR THE REFURBISHED ICCS SIGN

Thanks to Hurricane Laura, we started off the 2020-2021 school year without an official ICCS sign. Many ICCS families have taken "the first day of school" photos in front of the sign year after year to mark the start of a new grade and school term. Thanks to the generosity and thoughtfulness of ICCS Grandpanthers, Claire and Doug Shearman, the sign is whole again and ready for 2020-2021 "end-of-the-year" photos!

PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS

O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.

You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
