Hawk Highlights

Principal's Point--10/9
Dear Timberview Families,
It is beginning to feel like fall outside which for me means more trips to the farmer's market, playing with my daughter outside, and enjoying hot coffee on cool mornings. It can also mean a great deal more life stress. A lot of activities, time commitments and running around. Remember to take each day as it comes, connect with your kids and assume the best in others. Throughout this time, I have been reminded that we can do hard things together. Let's keep working together and assuming the best, and we will get through anything that is thrown at us.
Schedules
Before the new nine-week grading period begins, we wanted to make sure you understand that, depending on the volume of instructional choice changes, students who are not switching may still be impacted by these mid-semester alterations. These students’ teachers and class sizes may change, even though the students are remaining with their previously selected instructional choice.
We want to assure you that in instances where changes do occur, we will make every effort to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and compliance with KISD’s safety precautions. If you have any questions about changes that occur beginning with the second nine-week grading period, please do not hesitate to contact our offices after that time.
Schedule updates will be available during the weekend of 10/17-10/18. For students returning to campus, we will be intentional in meeting with them during the first day of school, helping them learn the new processes and making sure that all of them are supported during the transition. Our teachers will also be intentional in building in time for students to learn their classroom expectations and procedures.
Campus Drop Offs/Water Bottles
In order to follow our safety guidelines, I wanted to remind you all that we are limiting item drop-off on campus to only the most essential items. Please help us by not dropping off items that are not absolutely vital to your student. Even if your son thinks his football is vital, he will need to do without if he forgets it at home.
Also, we are not accepting food deliveries for lunch at this time either. Please make sure that if a student packs their lunch they don't forget it at home. If they do, we will make sure they get a lunch through our cafeteria.
Lastly, in order to limit the amount of germs that are spread, we are asking all students to come to school with a water bottle so that they do not put their mouths on the water fountains. We have filtered water bottle filling stations at various locations all over campus.
Thank you and have a great weekend!
