Amelia Earhart persevered through the women suffrage movement and showed that women can do just as much as men, just as well. She was a women pilot in a time when the vast majority of pilots were male.

Amelia Earhart achieved so much in her life and these are some of her accomplishments:


  • She was the first women to receive a National Geographic Society gold medal
  • She was the first women to receive a Distinguished Flying Cross
  • She was the first women to fly solo across the Atlantic ocean
  • She received numerous aviation awards

Amelia Earhart proved that women can persevere through this hard time of the women suffrage movement even though it was hard to be a women at this time. She showed that women are just as capable as men.
