Wishing Everyone a Great Spring Break!
First Things First!
Good Morning Friends! You are almost there! I have talked with many of you this week and have heard of travel plans scanning the globe for next week. I know there is a lot of excitement and this is the same with our kids!
Today will go very fast. Please take a minute to plan for the little things that may happen with an out of routine day. You may need to use a little more patience with, "ok, I am waiting until everyone is ready" prompts as well as a few more redirects. This is ok, but please just plan for it ahead of time. So, first things first, we need to strive for keeping the balance of even keel and thus ensure we have a great day of school today!
A big thank you to Laurie for having us organized for a fun Heart Awareness day. This is a good day for this change of pace activity and focus point on raising healthy awareness.
Good Bye to some great teammates!
Take a minute and give a hug of good luck to Melissa Weiand and Danelle Berry as today is their last day of work. Melissa joined this year and has made a difference in our kids. She has accepted a position a bit closer to home. Danielle has served PVE students and staff for over a decade. With traveling daughters she is finding herself with some rare opportunties to travel. Thank you both for your great service!
Welcome!
On the Monday we return, Beth Curry will join our staff as a instructional assistant in lifeskills. Beth has had experience working in lifeskills with Pike Township schools and most recently she has supported learners at Trader's Point. Welcome Beth!
Rest and Replenish!
I am proud of the hard work and determination that this staff gives to every child, every day. This is never more evident in hearing the conversations of care, seeing the hugs of compassion and feeling the shared celebrations of success. Thank you!
We have reached a point on our schedule that we all need to push pause. Spring break gives us a furlough to roam about and get out of routine. Please take this time to find your self away from work in both thinking and routine. Honestly, this will make each of us better in the weeks to come. I often say the time from Spring Break to the end of May is the bell lap in our race. Much like the Kentucky Derby we find ourselves just like the racehorse with ears straight back sprinting our away to the finish line. So, take this time of needed break and enjoy. For those traveling some place nice and warm, enjoy a little sunburn and a blue sky with sunshine to dream.
We have had quite a week leading up to this time. A great school musical that once again led many of us to tears, another book fair, a incredible box town event and a quick Jump Rope for Heart before we depart! Wow! Great work team PVE!
Sending my best to each of you!
Chad
