September 15th: Picture Day
Every Wednesday is Virtual Learning Day!
PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Welcome back to another great year of learning at Abrams!
Parents -- you are doing a great job with drop off and pick up! I know this is a big change but you have adjusted well and your patience is outstanding. Please continue to display your car tag on the passenger side hanging from the visor. This helps us see it clearly.
Each Wednesday is a virtual learning day. We will continue to learn and practice virtual learning so we are ready for any time we have to be virtual for longer time frames. Please be sure your child is linked in to the Zoom meeting at 8:15. Assignments will differ each week. Reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. We are here to problem solve learning together.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns you have about your child or school.
Mrs. Michalski
Notes from the Office
Reminder: In person learning will take place Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with virtual learning every Wednesday.
School day starts at 7:45 AM and ends at 2:55 PM. Doors open at 7:35 AM
No students will be able to enter the building until the 7:35 bell rings.
Student Pick Up: Remember if your child's normal end of the day plan is to ride the bus, but you have decided to pick up your child, you need to send a note or email the teacher! If a note is not sent, the child will follow their normal plan to ride the bus.
Picture Day is coming! MK Photography is the school photographer this year. Abrams students will get their picture taken on Tuesday, September 15th. Students who are absent on September 15th, will need to contact MK Photography to make arrangements to get their picture taken at (920) 846-8409. To allow us to practice physical distance students who are in the all virtual learning option should contact MK Photography to set up an appointment at the studio.
A few weeks after picture day your child will bring home a proof envelope with 2 images to choose from for you to order. There is no obligation to purchase. To further mitigate any risk, there will not be a retake day this year.
Please contact MK Photography if you have any questions at (920) 846-8409 or email mke@mkalliesphoto.com
Friday Shirt Day! Every Friday is a special "shirt day" or "dress up day" at Abrams school. For September the office staff has chosen the dress up days and in the following months the 5th graders will have the option to offer some ideas for our special dress up days. Participation is always optional, but it's a fun way to end the week.
School Dress Up Days:
September 11th: Red, White and Blue Day
September 18th: Fall Colors Day
September 25th: Duct Tape Day

CPTO
Hi Abrams Elementary School families!
The Abrams CPTO (Community Parent Teacher Organization) will be holding its annual meeting on Tuesday September 15th at 6:15pm. This will be a zoom meeting and you can join through this link: https://of-ps.zoom.us/j/98249629980. For those that are not familiar with CPTO, this is an organization made up of parents, guardians and teachers of Abrams Elementary students. We coordinate many fundraisers to enhance our children's experiences at Abrams and sponsor many fun events to keep families engaged. At the annual meeting we will be voting on new board members, discussing the budget and what fundraisers and activities we want to do this year. I have included a description of what the officers are responsible for. The time commitment is about 2-3 hours per month (1 hour monthly meetings plus duties outside of meetings). No previous experience is necessary and guidance will be provided. We are always looking for volunteers and many times work can be done outside of the school day. I look forward to seeing you on September 15th! Please see the attached agenda for further details on the meeting.
Thanks,
Jen Kuhn
