Bucket Fillers
- A STANDING OVATION to Allison McGraw!!! Allison has completed the Georgia TAPP (Teacher Alternative Preparation Program) and received the highest marks possible! We are proud of Allison and her commitment to our kiddos!
- TAKE A BOW, Jim Morris! Jim not only serves as Mt. Bethel's Science Olympiad coordinator, but the head honcho who makes it happen at the regional level. Jim started the event in 2005 with a handful of schools and about 40 students. Last weekend's competition included over 700 science enthusiasts!
- KUDOS to THIS YEAR'S SCIENCE OLYMPIAD COACHES: Jim Morris, Richard Williamson, Chuck Jones, and Shannon Griffin!! Our team earned multiple medals and a spot at State Competition in May after many weeks/months of hard work! Our kids ROCKED IT, and MBES ran the Water Rocket event! Be sure to ask any of the coaches about their after-competition traditions!
- BRAVO to OUR SCHOOL CULTURE COMMITTEE!! Rumor has it that last Friday's happy hour was a festive occasion at Tijuana Joe's! Thank you to all who participated in the MBES post-report card fun!
- SOUND THE ALARM for OUR TEAM in a crisis situation! You need to know that Faith & Maria were the masterminds behind the plan & execution of Monday's alarm sounding minutes prior to student arrival. Thanks, ALL, for going with the flow, for ensuring student coverage, and for keeping calm and carrying on!

STAFF NEWS
- Brook Rozen will welcome Baby Rozen - (maybe) over Spring Break but possibly later! We wish Brook the best as she welcomes Duke's precious sibling - either a boy or a girl - can't wait to find out!
- Natalie Lampert will take over Brook's class for the remainder of the year! She previously served as our primary teacher for students with Emotional & Behavior Disorders (EBD), but has done such a great job that her kiddos are now out in the general education setting! We are grateful that Natalie will be able to step in and finish the kindergarten year for an awesome group of kiddos!
- Welcome, Shannon Larson! Shannon will supply teach & take Natalie's place and will work in Danielle Menear's room and provide support where needed. Shannon is a certified teacher and has spent time most recently in pre-school, after school programs, and working as a teacher/tutor at the MIC (Marietta Ice Center) teaching students who are competitive ice/hockey stars and require tutoring/schooling.
- Unfortunately, we have had multiple positions cut for next year. Admin has spoken to those who are impacted. Please be mindful of staff members who are determining next steps - and be supportive & encouraging!
