Back to School
Maple Place Middle School 8/25/2022
Principal's Message
Dear Maple Place Families,
I hope that you have all had a summer filled with sunshine, ocean air, and lots of memory making with your families! As we move closer to the start of the 2022-2023 school year, I wanted to reach out to provide you with a Back to School update. We are excited to welcome our students, faculty and staff back to Maple Place! As always, our goal is to provide all of our students with access to a high quality education while also ensuring their social and emotional growth as they move through adolescence. We are committed to working collaboratively to do what is best for our students and to help each and every one of them to find success in the coming year.
The Maple Place staff has been working tirelessly to prepare for the start of the school year. We are looking forward to a year filled with engaging learning experiences, exciting extra-curricular endeavors, and the continued building of relationships between home and school. We are committed to developing positive partnerships with our school community stakeholders, and we are hopeful that this year will be a one that is filled with learning and laughter for students and staff alike.
We will have some exciting new facility upgrades ready for our students when they return! We have brand new lighting throughout the building as well as a new fire suppression system. Additionally, we are patiently awaiting the arrival of all new classroom furniture for the classrooms in our back wing. The custodial crew has been working day and night to make sure the building is looking amazing for the start of the school year. I would be remiss if I did not send them the HUGE shout out that they deserve for all of their hard work this summer!
We are very excited to welcome a number of new staff members this year. Maple Place will see three new faces within our Social Studies and Special Education departments with the addition of Mr. Heyer, Mr. Evertz, and Ms. Docherty. We will also have a full time Gifted and Talented teacher, Mrs. Goldsmith, and a new instructional coach in Mrs. LaSalle! We can't wait to see the positive impact these additions will have on our school community!
As we prepare to embark on a new school year, I am confident that with continued collaboration and a strong home / school connection to support our students, we will set our students up for a successful year. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to seeing you in September.
Please be sure to read the sections below as additional information is provided.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Keiser
