Spring Concert Information
Just a few reminders:
It will be warm in the gym on June 8th. Please dress for the weather. Shorts are acceptable, but we do ask that students dress nicely for the concert.
If a child is dismissed after the 10:00 concert it will count as a full day absence. We will dismiss from the office for the morning concert.
For the afternoon concert, students will be dismissed from their classrooms. If someone other than a parent is picking up a student, we require a note. If you have a sibling not in the afternoon concert, please dismiss that student from the office.
Please let Clubhouse know if your child normally attends Clubhouse and will not be attending on the day of the concert.
We will have handicapped parking in the front parking lot of the school. Custodians will be outside directing parking. There are parking lots to the right and the left of the school. Please utilize these lots. Please park on only one side of the road as emergency vehicles may be needed. Doors will open at 9:45 for the 10:00 show and 1:15 for the afternoon concert.

March/April 2018 Health Update
Welcome to the Health Update- I wanted to let you know that we are still seeing cases of the flu this season. We need to continue to follow the same precautions we have been doing to help prevent the spread of the flu. We had a presentation put on by the Wachusett Medical Reserve Corp on Whack The Flu and things you can do to help prevent it.
1. The number one priority is to practice good hand washing at all times. Wash your hands often with soap and warm water, especially after sneezing and coughing.
2. Practice good cough and sneezing etiquette by sneezing into a tissue or your elbow instead of your hands. Discard the tissues in the basket and wash your hands again.
3. Avoid people who are sick.
4. If your child is sick, or has flu like symptoms( fever of 100 or above, sore throat, runny nose), please keep your child home from school for at least 24 hours.
5. If your child is sick, please do not medicate them and send them to school- please contact your child’s Physician.
6. If your child has vomited and or had diarrhea within the past 24 hours, please do not send them to school. They need to stay at home for at least 24 hours after vomiting and diarrhea stops for at least 24 hours.
With Spring here and hopefully the weather turning warmer, we will also continue to think of the possibility of head lice and ticks. Head lice can be spread from close contact. Children should not be sharing hair implements, they should also not be sharing helmets and hats from various sports. If you discover your child has head lice- do not send them to school. You will need to notify your MD and they will need to properly treated before returning to school. They will need be checked here before they return to class.
Please be doing daily tick checks on your children as the weather is turning warmer. We have already seen several ticks from the warmer weather we had back in February.
To The Parents of 4th and 5th graders:
Thank You to those who have sent in recent copies of their children’s MD physicals and updated immunizations- I appreciate it! For those of you who haven’t been able to yet- if you could send them along as soon as possible, that would be great!
