Friday Newsletter: October 6, 2023
Hello Santiago Families:
We are one week into October, but it feels like summer with this heat!
No Fuss Fundraiser: Today is our last day for our No Fuss Fundraiser. Thank you to all of our families for your support in our school fundraising. We will share out our final results next week.
PTSA Membership: We want to invite all parents to join our school's PTSA and be a part of our vibrant community that supports our student's growth and success. By becoming a member, you can be active in your child's education and help us create a positive learning environment for all students. Sign up here: PTSA Sign Up
PTSA Reflections: If your child is interested in participating in the PTSA Reflections contest, scroll below for more details.
Breast Cancer Awareness Walk: Join us next Friday (10/13) at 7am for our annual walk in support of our friends and families that have been affected by breast cancer. We will meet in the amphitheater at 7am and walk out to our track. Students can wear a pink shirt (with uniform bottoms) that day to show their support.
Heads Up, Check Up: Our counseling department will be holding their Heads Up, Check up during math classes on 10/18 and 10/19. If you would like more information or to opt your child out, scroll below for details and links. Please note that our counselors will be holding a virtual parent information night on Tuesday, 10/10 at 6:30pm as well: please use THIS
link to join.
Tardies: Parents, please continue to support and encourage your child to get to school on time. We understand that with multiple drop offs and work schedules, mornings can be stressful. Our campus opens at 7:15am, so dropping your student off at school early for breakfast is a great option. If your child is going to be late, please call or send them in with a note so that they are excused. For doctor/dentist appointments, please bring in a note from the doctor, it helps us in coding/reporting your child's absence. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated!
Attendance: We are officially in the cold/flu season. Make sure and call our attendance line if your child is sick and will be staying home to rest/recover. To report an absence 24/7, please call 714-628-5681.
