Kick Off yesterday was a huge success! Thank you to all our booster club members and student choir officers for helping out both last night and beforehand with the preparation. It's always great to meet our Klein High Choir Families, both returning and new!

Our booster club is selling a few optional items. If you would like any of the following items, please bring cash or check (made out to Klein HS Choir Booster Club) to class.

tux garment bag: $42

dress garment bag: 47

car decal: $12

yard sign: $18

We will have the order forms in the choir room on Monday. Forms and payment for these items are due next Friday, August 25.

In addition to the uniform given at Kick-Off, a few items need to be provided by the students.

• Dresses - black, closed-toed, comfortable dress shoes are also needed for our performances. Flats or character shoes are preferred.
• Tuxedos - a white tuxedo shirt, black dress shoes, black bowtie, and black cummerbund are also needed for our performances. You can get most of these items in a bundle on Amazon HERE.

Students will need these items by our Fall Concert Thursday, September 26. More detailed uniform info can be found in our Choir Handbook.

We had a brief Parent Questionnaire Google Form last night at Kick-Off. If you were not able to attend the kick-off or didn't see it, we would greatly appreciate it if you could help give us some more information about your kid and how we can best help them succeed! Voice lessons on campus will start very soon (some returning students have already begun!). Please let Mr. Stultz or Mrs. Berger know if you are interested in voice lessons during the school day, after school, or at a voice teacher's home. We have outstanding voice teachers that work with our Klein Choir students. If you are committed to signing up for lessons or if you'd like more info, please fill out the form below ASAP.

We are now a week and a half into our all-state audition preparation! Participating students should be practicing their music at home daily in order to be prepared for the first round of auditions on September 16. After-school rehearsals for next week are listed in the "Week At A Glance Section."

It's not too late to sign-up for the All-State audition process! The audition contract and $20 fee are due next Thursday, August 26. For those doing All-State don't forget to join the Remind group (@ktmea2324). Practice tracks can be found HERE or in Schoology.

We are having our first choir social of the year on Thursday, August 31 in the choir room from 3-5pm. We are watching Disney's Lion King! Socials are a great way for students to get to know each other and choir members from other classes. All choir students are encouraged to join us for snacks, games, and a movie. We hope to see you there!
