4th Grade Magnet Classroom Update
September 12-16
With Mr. Warrenfeltz
In science, students will create videos which include examples and the meaning of potential and kinetic energy. Their videos will also demonstrate their understanding of the relationship between the speed of an object and the amount of energy it possesses. In math, we will focus on multiplying and dividing whole numbers. Students who have mastered whole numbers will move on to multiplying and dividing decimals.
With Mrs. Hartley
In ELA students will continue the survival unit with a focus on exploring the 3 geographic regions of Maryland. After they learn the basic characteristics of each they will make connections to exploration and settlement patterns throughout history. Additionally, we will begin reading Hatchet, specifically focusing on the way the author develops the characters, noting specific examples and strategies that students can then use in their own writings.
