St. Mark News

November 16, 2015

Dear St. Mark Families,

Our second grade students did a wonderful job with their saint presentations. They each dressed like a chosen saint and decorated a cut out doll to look like the saint. They did an oral presentation telling everyone about the saint’s life. It was interesting to know that one of our 2nd grade students had a great grandmother who actually lived in the convent with Saint Katherine Drexel for a couple of years! He even had two special veils that were used by Saint Katherine Drexel. We thank the Fowler family for sharing this with us!

Some of our 8th Grade students recently took the Conwell-Egan entrance exam and were very excited to tell us that the math section was everything they are reviewing in our Simple Solution Math maintenance program. It was nice to be greeted with this news first thing in the morning, and to see the children so confident in their capabilities and proud of their success. Way to go 8th grade students! Hang in their parents and students; a little bit of hard work and perseverance does pay off. I am so proud of great efforts I see by our students.

Our Thanksgiving Mass is on Wednesday, November 25th at 8:00 AM. We have so much to be thankful for, and what better way to give thanks to our Lord than coming together as a school community to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving? We hope to see you there!

May God continue to bless all of you and your family.

God Bless,

Maria Sanson
