September 22, 2020
Last week wrapped up our third (3rd) week of Remote Instruction and Learning. Each of you are truly your child's first teacher, and we appreciate all you are doing and will continue to do for your child! Please hang in there and reach out to our staff at Johnson Pre-K / Head Start Center with any concerns or questions.

Health and Brigance Screenings
By this time, teachers have scheduled students for this event. We will provide health screenings for vision, hearing, and heights & weights as well as academic screenings (Brigance). Parents will remain in vehicles while staff escort students through four different screenings. The total time is expected to be 30-45 minutes for all screenings.
If you are not scheduled to attend that day, please do come by the school for your NC Nourish and resource bag! Teachers will be scheduling Brigance screenings on other days to accommodate schedules, and we will offer a make-up health screening in the near future
All safety guidelines will be followed for both students and staff/volunteers: health screenings, masks, social distancing, and frequent hand washing. Gloves will be provided if requested.
In addition, NC Nourish will provide snack bags and school staff will be handing our the second round of instructional resources for students.
