Ms. Amanda Albrizze, our Attendance Clerk, is still on a leave of absence. For all absences, tardies or extended leaves up to 14 days (independent studies), please contact Ms. Barbara Kolb in the front office.

In order for early dismissals from school to be excused a doctor/dentist note will need to be provided to the front office.

Any request for independent studies from school will require prior notification to the school (at least 1 week prior), administrative approval and work issued by the homeroom/English teachers once approved by administration that will be turned in once returning to school.

Work is to be completed and return to the homeroom/English teachers once returning from independent studies. Completion of the work will then be cleared and documented with the attendance clerk for auditing purposes.

If work is not completed during the approved period of independent studies, future requests for independent studies will be denied by administration. Requests for independent studies for more than 14 days will not be granted due to current policies in place within our district. Students will need to unenroll at Field Elementary and enroll in CIS for the extended independent studies period requested. Your permit status to Field will not be held during this period and you will need to re-enroll once returning from your leave if you have intentions of continued enrollment at Field Elementary.

Innovation Club will run from Wednesday, November 29th-Wednesday, February 28th. The Innovation Exposition for all PUSD students is on Friday, February 2nd. All interested students at Field Elementary are welcome to submit a project for this event.

The upper-grade playground will be closed tomorrow Monday, November 27th- Friday, December 15th.

We need to hear from you! PUSD will conduct the annual California Healthy Kids Survey starting on November 4th and running until November 27th. Here are a few points to review as we prepare:

WHAT: In November 2023, Pasadena USD will administer the California Healthy Kids Survey to PUSD Parents/Guardians, staff, and students in grades 6th, 7th, 9th, and 11th.

WHY: The purpose of this survey is to obtain information from staff, students, families, and guardians about their knowledge, attitudes, and behavior about things that affect learning.

The survey window on November 4 and closes on November 27, 2023. (The survey takes 15-30 minutes to complete).
