PSAT Information
For Parents and Students Who Registered for the PSAT on October 16th:
The PSAT will be on October 16th at CB South. At this point, registered students have been given the 2021 PSAT Student Guide in Titan Forum.
Please review these important points with your student(s) so they are prepared for exam day!
• Exam room assignments will be posted outside of the cafeteria by next Wednesday.
• On exam day, students should plan to be in their assigned exam room by 7:45am, and arrange for pickup between 11:30am and noon. Please be aware we typically have a high volume of cars dropping off students in the morning close to the start time. No student will be admitted to the testing room after the exam begins (as per CollegeBoard policy).
• Students should bring with them two sharpened #2 pencils, and an approved calculator.
• Students are not permitted to eat/drink during the exam, but can bring a snack/drink for scheduled test breaks (as per CollegeBoard policy).
• Student IDs are not required for the PSAT, but you should know that they are required for the actual SAT.
• Students will be asked to turn off cell phones while in the exam room. If any student is found in possession/in use of an active phone, they will be dismissed and have their scores cancelled (as per CollegeBoard policy).
• Students must wear a mask while in the building, unless there is a previously approved exemption.

CB South's Student Assistance Program (SAP)
The CB South SAP Team directly aligns with the Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP), which is a systematic team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning. SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and serious mental health issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school. The structure and operation of the program in Pennsylvania is a unique expression of an integrated model serving the needs of Pennsylvania families and students. If you have a concern about a student or would like more information, please reach out to Michele McGroggan mmcgroggan@cbsd.org or 267.893.3027.

Good Sportsmanship
We hope that everyone will continue to support our athletic teams during the fall season. South prides itself on good sportsmanship on the part of players and fans alike. Please keep the following in mind as you cheer for our teams this season:
The use of profanity and vulgarity is unacceptable at athletic events. Please do not engage in inappropriate or demeaning chants during games. Students who do not comply with this expectation will be ejected from the games and will face disciplinary consequences. Let’s focus on supporting our team, not degrading the opposing school.
Entering/Rushing the athletes’ area of play is prohibited and dangerous to security, teachers, spectators, and the athletes.
Students are not permitted to bring purses, draw string bags, backpacks, food, or beverages to any athletic event in the fall season.
Students are prohibited from trespassing on the property of any school in the Central Bucks School District or on any property in any other school district. Damaging school property or engaging in any other activity that inconveniences the other school’s staff is strictly prohibited and will be considered vandalism, resulting in disciplinary and legal consequences. Please do not jeopardize your good standing by engaging in this type of unacceptable behavior.
All Central Bucks School District and Central Bucks High School South’s polices apply to students at athletic events. Please be advised that coming to an athletic event under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance is not only extremely dangerous, but also violates School Board Policy 227. If a student chooses to attend a CB South athletic event while under the influence, law enforcement will be notified and a 5-day suspension will be imposed.
CB South’s Administration respectfully requests that parents monitor their child’s whereabouts and actions before athletic events at CB South. Please be aware of your child’s plans before the event, how they will safely get to the event, and how they will safely arrive home from the event.
We hope that you continue to show your enthusiasm and school spirit as we enter the fall athletic season. The Faculty and Administration at CB South has always considered your ability to support our teams in a positive and respectful manner as one of our key points of pride. Please join your classmates in continuing this proud tradition.
