Brighter with Brightspace Conference
Brightspace implementation begins this fall. Are you ready? Learn more about Brightspace this summer by attending a virtual conference. During the conference attendees will review and enhance skills learned during the Getting Started with Brightspace Spring Professional Development modules as well as learn new skills to create a Brightspace learning environment for their students. The conference is for all staff. Teachers may become a Brightspace Campus Champions for their school.
The Brightspace Champions will be the go to person for teachers. The champion will not be required to deliver professional development. Champions will be asked to be the front line of support for staff to go to for questions. To become a Brightspace Champion, an attendee will be required to attend both days of the conference and attend required sessions. All sessions will be recorded for those who could not attend as well as for attendees to review.
Fifty minute sessions will include: Brightspace 101, Making Brightspace Bright for Students, Google in Brightspace, One Stop Shopping-Integrating Apps into Brightspace, Communication in Brightspace, Brightspace for Parents, Building Assessments in Brightspace, Making Brightspace Accessible for All, Differentiating Your Brightspace Classroom, Brightspace: A Gateway to the Curriculum, Assignments: Grading and Feedback, Brightspace Portfolio, Using Brightspace in Non-Sis Created Courses (Media/Triple EEE); Chromebook Tips and Tricks, What Does Brightspace Look Like for an Administrator? What Does a Primary Course (Prek-2) Look Like, What Does an Intermediate (3-5) Course Look Like, What Does the Secondary Course Look Like? Grading in Brightspace, Brightspace and the Non-Classroom Teacher, Building a School Community in Brightspace, Performance Matters and Brightspace, and more… Information will be sent to registrants to select the sessions they would like to attend prior to the conference. It is important to register!!
Participants will be able to join session facilitators at one o’clock to ask questions as they practice what they learned during the sessions. Office hours will be offered throughout the day for questions.
