Facts
A savanna is a rolling grassland scattered with shrubs and isolated trees, which can be found between a tropical rainforest and desert biome. Not enough rain falls on a savanna to support forests. Savannas are also known as tropical grasslands.
General Cilmate
It is usually cooler during the dry season by a few degrees. Because it is in the tropical latitudes that is still hot enough. The savanna climate has a temperature range of 68° to 86° F (20° - 30° C).here is a rainy season and a dry season. It rains about 15-30 inches in the rainy season and not more than 4 in the dry season
Plants
Elephant Grass is a tall robust tropical African grass that is used for fodder and paper.
- Gum Tree that exudes gum, especially a eucalyptus.
Acacia Senegal is a seyal, used to thickener, emulsuifier and stabilizer in food, pharmaceutical and industrial products
Baobab is a short tree with enormously thick trunk and large edible fruit.
