4-H AG Innovators
4-H AG Innovators is a leadership program for 4-H members who are at least 12 years of age and want to learn more about the agriculture industry in the North Platte area. Members will develop a foundation of potential Ag careers, explore the fundamentals of production livestock & learn about businesses in West Central Nebraska. NOTE: A University van will be used for each tour.
The first meeting will be May 6, 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. We will be traveling south of North Platte to tour CSS Farms, which is a multi-state business that strives for innovation and specializes in seed to specialty potatoes.
There will be two other tours in June to Midwest Energy in Sutherland (the ethanol plant) Vogler Semen Centre near McCook (A bull genetics facility that collects and houses semen.) and Frito Lay in Gothenburg.
The cost of this program is $35.00 which covers all materials, transportation and lunch during the June tours. To register, add SPIN Ag Innovators CLUB to your 4-H online enrollment or call Emily at the office, 308-532-2683.
