Ms. Ingle's Messages

week of December 7th

Our Science focus has shifted!

As of this week, we are moving on to a new topic in Science! I am very excited to begin our study of body systems. We will begin with a close look at the skeletal system. This study will span several weeks and will remain our topic throughout December and January. We will be creating models of each system we study so that we can see how each is related to the body as a whole.

I will be posting material needs for our model-making project each week. This week, I would love to have donations of bubble wrap. If you have any bubble wrap that you will not be needing over the next few weeks, please consider sending it to school.

I would also love to have parent volunteers to help with this study. If you work in healthcare and would like to add to our discussions, please let me know. If you would simply like to lend a hand with special projects during this study, I will be happy to put you to work!

EOG Info

I know it seems like a long way off...but it is never too soon to be prepared. We have been given our projected dates for this year's EOG testing. Of course, these dates are subject to change based on weather. Asheville City Schools will be testing during the last 10 instructional days of the school year. For now, those dates are May 24-June 7.

If you are making vacation plans for early summer, please keep these important dates in mind.
