Hawk Happenings!

Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy

Message from the Principal - Aug. 8, 2018

Greetings!

We are just a couple of short weeks before school is back in session. Can you believe it? I hope that everyone is rested and has gotten some Vitamin D from that beautiful sunshine! We have been busy at the school. The hallway is coming together with all new sheetrock and will soon have brand new lighting to brighten everything. It will be close, but it should be done just in time for school to start.

As you all know, we have a number of new members in our Holy Rosary family. In fact, we have been able to hire for Mrs. Silva’s position in 2nd and 3rd grade. Thank you, God!! The teacher’s name is Engelbert Kelah. Mr. Kelah comes to us from Cameroon, via Mexico and Texas. He is fluent in English and French and understands quite a bit of Spanish. He will be a great addition to our school. He is even a certified soccer coach. I will be sending out a bio and a photo of Mr. Kelah in the next few days, but wanted to let everyone know that we do have an English teacher for grades 2 & 3. We are such a global community here at Holy Rosary. We have teachers from Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cameroon, and Peru, as well as the United States. What a fantastic way to bring not only language to children, but also a diversity of cultures and traditions. This creates an amazingly rich learning environment. Here is a reminder of who is who for 2018-19:

Pre-K 3: Ms. Marseille (Lead Teacher). We only have 10 students, so there is no assistant. Mgrimaldi@holyrosarybilingual.org

The teachers will be back at the school starting on the 20th (except for Mr. Kelah who is moving from Texas and will be here on the 22nd), so feel free to email them at their new email addresses, if you have any questions. Everyone is getting their emails switched over, so please be patient. :)

It will be wonderful to see all of you and hear the laughter fill these halls. It has been a pretty quiet summer around the school, with the exception of our little Pre-K Summer Camp.

If you have any questions about uniforms, school supplies, or anything else. Don’t hesitate to contact us. Berenice is here regular hours (7:30 - 3:30, Monday through Friday).

Blessings,

Tuition Payments Start NOW!

Don’t forget...tuition payments go from August through May. The only payments due in June are Extended Care, meals, or other past due charges. So, if you have not made your August payment, please take care of that. If you are on FACTS, you are all set. The payments are deducted on the 10th, the 25th, or split between the two dates (depending on what you selected). Thank you to all who have signed up for FACTS. You make life so much easier for all of us and hopefully, you as well. If you still want to sign up, it’s not too late. Just go to: https://online.factsmgt.com/sign in/4CD0S. It is easy to do and takes one important item off your mind this school year. If you need help with your account or FACTS, contact Kelly at finance@holyrosarybilingual.org or to make a payment, call Berenice at 253-272-7012. Thank you for your attention to this!
