Class Connect Sessions
It's been a great start to the year and I love getting to know everyone!
I want to express how important it is that we all attend the class connect sessions. They are not only required, but they give us an excellent opportunity to touch base and make sure we understand the content. We don't want anyone falling behind and feeling overwhelmed, so lets go through the course material together. We PPOS Mountain Lions are a team and we're much stronger when we collaborate.
Let's Reach Goals Together!
Soon we will be checking our progress on the goals we set at the beginning of the year. I recorded all the goals I received, please make sure to send me one if you haven't already. I can't wait to celebrate our achievements!
Important Class Components
The discussion boards are a huge part of this course. It's our opportunity to have a conversation about what we read. It would be strange to never talk about the movies we see, but why don't we look at it that way with the books we read? The discussion boards give us the chance to build our understanding of the texts and develop relationships with classmates.
If you have yet to complete the writing pre-assessment, you need to stop everything and do it now! This assessment is graded on a pass/fail scale, so if you do it, you get full credit. This assignment is my chance to get to know you as a writer, and determine what to cover in the class connect sessions so you can improve. I can't wait to read your writing! You can find the pre-assessment in the class dropbox.
Staying Caught Up
It's important to stay caught up with the class readings and assignments. This class goes quickly, just like a senior class should, so make sure you're on top of your work. I'm here to help you do that, so make sure to reach out if you're having trouble staying with the class, or feel you might fall behind.
