- How can instructors provide a lesson resource for their students?
- How can teachers identify content specific websites to support their lesson plan?
- How can teachers organize lesson resources for student comprehension?
Unit Summary
This activity will allow students the opportunity to explore the internet for content specific sites related to their lesson plan. Students will develop a LiveBinders or Storify site to allow students to explore and enhance learning of the content objectives in their lesson plan.
Take special note that this resource is a student resource. It is not to be geared toward an instructor.

Lesson Objectives:
- Find content specific websites related to the lesson plan topic.
- Develop questions related to the websites that will address the learning objectives of the lesson plan or another chosen lesson plan.
- Develop a Storify to include the web sites and any additional information to guide students' learning to meet the lesson objectives.
Procedures
- Begin by finding and exploring content specific websites related to your lesson plan or another chosen lesson plan topic. Be sure the content on these sites relates directly to the objectives of the lesson.
- Choose at least four websites to formulate content questions specific to the website AND to address or practice the learning objectives of the lesson plan.
- Check out the video below to see how to create a Storify
- Go to http://storify.com/ to set up your Storify account.
- Create a content specific Storify to accompany your lesson plan and to guide students' learning to meet the lesson objectives.
- You must include the following in your Storify:
- a minimum of 4 websites that address the objectives of your lesson
- at least 4 sections of text that include the questions you developed related to each of the websites

Use of computer with Internet to complete the online Storify.

Accommodations for Differentiated Instruction
- Special Needs Student: Extended work time, personnel support from the Special Needs Department
- Non-Native Speaker: Internet sites in the native language, tutoring outside the classroom.
- Honors Students: This class does not have an honors option.
Student Assessment
Assessment will occur through completed Storify. On-going assessment will occur when students present their lessons to actual classrooms of students with cooperating teachers.
