CMS Holiday Food Drive
Students are being encouraged to bring in the following items to help:
Cranberry Sauce
Soups (cream of mushroom, vegetable, chicken noodle, or tomato)
Canned Vegetables (corn, green beans, peas)
Canned Fruit (peaches, pears, mandarin oranges)
Evaporated Milk
Salt/Pepper Shakers
All donations will be delivered to the Snohomish county food bank.
The top 7th and 8th grade 1st period classes that collect the most donations will win a donut party!!!
Holiday Assistance and Donations
There are many resources available to our community and we would love to help connect families in need to these supplies. With the holidays upon us, we are very aware that some families may need assistance to make the season bright. If you or your family might have a need, we would like the opportunity to help. Also, if you would like to donate to help families this season, please feel free to support our community by offering gift cards in $25 increments to places like grocery stores, or multipurpose stores. This allows families to buy groceries, gifts, and gas freely with one card. We appreciate your care and support for others. Helping others is a gift in itself. If you are planning to donate, please reach out to Chynna Loeffler as well.
November Counselor's Corner
As we approach the holidays, many of us look forward to spending time with family and friends and sharing in the joys of the season. However, for some, the holiday season brings up negative feelings. At this time of year, more than any other, we think about loved ones we have lost, how to finance the gifts and experiences we want to give our family, how to “make the rounds” to all the places people expect us to be, how to survive hours in the car with small children, and the list goes on. Here are some tips and resources to help with the holidays:
Transportation Update: Student Scan Cards
Students to receive scan cards to ride the bus
To accompany our district's conversion to the Traversa Ride 360 program, all district students will be receiving a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) scan card, which will act as their ID when riding the bus during the 2022-2023 school year. These scan ridership cards will be distributed to every student throughout the school year. Distribution of the scan ridership cards at Centennial Middle School have begun and will continue until each bus rider has a card.
At each bus stop, the driver will be able see a display of the names and photos of students assigned to that stop so they can confirm that the correct students are boarding or getting off the bus. We recommend the zip reels and card be attached to the right side of their backpacks. Please note that these scan cards are not trackers. No student information is stored on these cards, and they are not used to track a student’s location. The school buses are used to locate students while on the route. The student RFID cards simply help to accelerate the process of recording student check-ins while also mitigating errors. Knowing where and when a student is during a bus route is paramount to ensuring the safety of every child in real-time. What Is Traversa Ride 360?
Traversa Ride 360 provides secure access to student routing information. Traversa Ride 360 provides quick access to your child's routing information, which can include the bus stop, route, and bus number. This is accessible on mobile devices, and confidential and secure. This program can be accessed via the web or mobile app and is free to download and use. The user guide can be downloaded by clicking one of the links below:

Parents/guardians will still need to use their student ID# and student date of birth to add their student to the app.

Yearbooks $25 - They will be sold from August - November 23 for pre-sales. After that time we will sell them at the end of the year on a first come, first serve basis.
Athletic fees $50 (Cost is zero if you qualify for free lunch)
