The soldiers faced lots of ways of being discriminated. One being they were given 10 dollars instead of 13 because they were black. Another way the were discriminated was that they were used for manual labor.

The Massachusetts 54th Volunteer for the Attack in Fort Wagner
The fist Group to attack the fort is the 54th. They have to go in groups because they need to distract the guns and cannons until the union gets in there. So the first few groups are going to die because they are running up to guns.
The Attack on Fort Wagner
The 54th got into the walls of the Fort and then the others did too.
