Kenroy Parent Newsletter

February 2021

Thank you, Kenroy Families!

As I write this newsletter, we are celebrating the 100th day of school, and boy have we aged! As part of our dress-up day today, we have "100 year-old" gray-haired elementary students and staff engaged in live instruction on campus. One thing we know to be true...we couldn't have done these 100 days without you, our Kenroy Families! We are appreciative of your time and commitment to your child's education. We continue to value our partnership with you and know we cannot do this alone.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or suggestions. It is through this dialogue we get better.

For the kids,

A 4-Day Weekend is Coming Up!

Don't forget there is no school this Friday (February 12), due to it being a COVID Make-up Day and Monday (February 15) is President's Day. Have a safe and fun long weekend!

Learning Remotely is Important

When students are not in school on-site, we remind you to please access on-line instruction.

  • Technology Programs- Lexia (K-2), Imagine Learning, Khan Academy, Zearn, etc (assigned by teachers)
  • Specialists- PE, Health, Music, Art (Fridays)
  • Independent practice packets (sent home by teachers)
  • Interventions (Special Education, English Learning, reading interventions)
  • Highly Capable projects/assignments

Our very own Ms. Gonzalez helps with COVID vaccinations in our community.

Please be on the look-out for Kenroy textbooks & library books

Please look around your house, in closets and under beds for Kenroy textbooks and library books. We appreciate you returning those to your child's teacher as soon as possible.

February's Character Trait is Safety

Staff is teaching students what being safe looks like in classrooms and around campus at Kenroy. At the end of the month, students from each class who exemplify this trait will be recognized.

Don't forget masks and attestations!
