Gear Up will host on
January 28th featured guest Mr. Alton Carter
http://www.altoncarter.net/ author and inspirational speaker.Books will be purchased for our AFTER SCHOOL Book Club for students to read his autobiography,
The Boy Who Carried Bricks. A compelling story about overcoming dire circumstances to be the man he is today. This speaker has a relatable story for many of our students. LVHS is excited about this opportunity.
Black History Month Guest Speaker Series
We will host a month filled with guest speakers for our campus. The following is our schedule as of now. We will be adding a couple of speakers. As our usual protocol, Ms. Cubbage will send a link and students who would like to participate face to face will need to get a pass in order to see the speaker in Ms. Cubbage's room. The face to face seats are limited. We are very excited for this opportunity to hear guest speakers from our Community.

New Faces to LVHS
You may have seen a couple of new faces to our campus.
Ms. LaCandice Sanders is one of our new behavior aides. Her station is by the gym.
Mr. Stephen Redrick will be stationed by the 200 hallway and is one of our new behavior aides.
Ms. Mason Pitts is stationed by CIS and is our remote instructor for our students who are out with COVID.
Please give a warm Pirate Welcome when you see these individuals.

ICU and Saturday School
Keep up the good work!!!
ICU is offered Monday-Thursday from 4:15-5:15 in the library. Saturday School is each week from 9am-12pm excluding Holiday weekends.
