Margot was nominated by Ms. Michelle Rubano for her character, school spirit, diligence, citizenship and leadership responsibility. Ms. Rubano noticed Margot consistently making an effort to support a student with special needs by helping him feel comfortable and engaged in study hall and in the library. She also put her work aside to help him not only socially but academically too!

Student Drop-off Safety Alert
Please continue to follow our parking lot procedures including designated drop-off areas and walkways. Students should only be dropped off on campus at the rear of the building in the two lanes nearest to the building. Please take extreme caution as students are crossing the two car lanes and exiting cars dropping off. We have seen an increased level of carpooling and encourage other families to join a car pool agreement. Reducing the number of cars dropping students off will increase our campus safety while reinforcing valuable community and environmental lessons.

Current Trends - Opiates & Extractions Workshop Presented by John Kriger
This highly acclaimed session offers an impactful overview of the most up-to-date information available today on adolescent behavioral trends, focusing intensely on the two primary issues facing parents, and professionals today; Opiates and Extractions. Learn the most current information on these two high-risk behaviors, and how they are drastically changing the risk potential for every family. Discover the risks, various sources of information and what every parent and professional is up against.
Here are just a few of the questions answered in this program:
- Why is fentanyl so dangerous?
- Are those who use these products at greater risk, than in the past; and if so why?
- What are Budder, Shatter, Dab, Flakka and the Deep Web?
- How are people becoming addicted to opiates and what are the risks?
- What is Narcan and can it actually protect someone from an overdose?
This program will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 12:00 at Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ. The program is free for adults 18 years and older, and registration is not required.
Kaplan's Free Live Online College Admission Discussion
As the school year continues, many families will begin to think about college admissions. This process can be overwhelming for many families. To better equip families during this process, Kaplan would like to invite the parents to participate in a Live Online panel discussion, “More Than Grades: A Discussion on Your Child’s College Admissions Journey,” on Wednesday, November 30th at 7 PM ET—and you can participate anywhere you have an internet connection.
During this live 60-minute panel discussion moderated by Lorin Thomas-Tavel, COO of Kaplan Test Prep, we will explore the college admissions topics most important to parents, including a general overview about the application process for students and exclusive Q&A with college admissions experts. Our virtual guest panelists will include:
- Harlan Cohen, the New York Times bestselling author of the book, “The Naked Roommate: And 107 Other Issues You Might Run Into in College”
- Delorean Menifee, Director of Admissions, Butler University
- Lee Weiss, Vice President Pre-College & K12 Programs, Kaplan Test Prep
Our aim is that this Live Online panel discussion will help parents and families become more confident and informed as they embark on their college admissions goals.
To register and receive event reminders, families can visit http://bit.ly/morethangrades. Participants will also be able to submit their questions for discussion about college admissions at this link as well. Space is limited, so we encourage families to register as soon as possible.
