Tips for Transitioning Back to School, Part 2

  • Practice proper hand washing - wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • If your child rides a bus, plan for your child to wear a mask on the bus and talk to your child about the importance of following bus rules and staying in their assigned seat.

  • If your child is enrolled in VLS, talk with them about any questions, feelings, or concerns they have about joining a new class. All feelings are valid! While some things will change, you can remind them of what will stay the same.

  • Make sure your contact information is up to date with the school. If it isn’t, please contact the main office 651-325-2500.

This document includes this week’s and last week’s tips as well as more detailed suggestions for preparing your child for this transition.
