Encouragements:
Lots of sickness going around! Keep our littlest Bulldogs and their mommas in your thoughts and prayers including Grayson, Griffin, and Kendall (all have had RSV, pneumonia, or other yucky respiratory stuff going on this week). Both Grayson and Kendall were (or are) in the hospital.
Riley Horton had surgery on her knee on Wednesday. Please keep Riley and Lindsey in your thoughts and prayers for quick healing!
Condolences:
Have we missed something? Let us know!
News and Notes
Copy Machines and Printers
Students should never be sent to pick up papers off the copy machine. Sometimes there are sensitive documents there waiting for pick up that should not be seen by others. That being said, if you print any sensitive documents, such as student profile, class list, any type of student scores, they should be picked up right away.
If you send items to the office to be copied it may be a while before we can do it. The office can be very busy especially in the afternoon when Lindsey is gone.
Whites (Majors) and Reds (Minors)
Whoever writes the white or red makes the initial parent contact, whether phone or email depending on the relationship with the parent This is especially important to be able to relay the events of the incident to the parent/guardian in a clear and timely manner. My ability to follow up does not always happen within the same school day.
Reds are entered by the student's classroom teacher into SWIS. Whites are entered into SWIS and Infinite Campus by Elizabeth.
Absences
If you have a planned absence, please let me know ahead of time. There are blue sheets in the file divider in the office. Personal days must be approved 2 weeks in advance. Sick days do not need approval, but I would like to get them on the calendar as soon as possible.
SSTs
Please help me to remember to schedule a follow up SST at the end of our SST meetings. If you have not had a follow up meeting within 4-6 weeks, please let me know so we can get a meeting on the calendar.
If you have new concerns about a student(s), please fill out the initial paperwork and send me an email to get the initial SST scheduled.
Grades in Infinite Campus
Update your grades at a minimum of the 15th and 30th of each month. The grade card window opens this week! See the chart below for when the window opens/closes.
