Camp Northlake Newsletter
Week 9 - July 26-30
A Letter from the Director
Hi Parents!
We cannot believe we are already to our last week of camp! Our campers are in for a special treat this week with a surprise EVERYDAY this week! We have loved every moment with your kiddos and we are excited to make even more memories this week! In chapel this week we have a special speaker who is going to share the parable of the prodigal son! Don't forget to ask your child what they are learning in chapel each week. You will be amazed at the lessons they are learning from God's Word and how they are hiding his scriptures in their heart!
Our campers are so excited for their last SNOWBALLS day tomorrow! Tomorrow we will have the BEST SURPRISE all summer! Your kiddos are going to LOVE it! Wednesday our campers will be enjoying a surprise pizza lunch from DOMINOS! (Don't tell your campers!) Thursday and Friday will bring special surprises for your kiddos!
Our field trip this week was Is to INSTAGATOR! Our campers are SO excited to see the gators and learn more about them! Our 3-6 campers will be going on WEDNESDAY and K-2 is going on this fun field trip on THURSDAY!
On Friday our campers are so excited for the ANNUAL TALENT SHOW! Our campers missed out on the in person show last year and are eager to perform for family and friends this FRIDAY! Our talent show will be from 1:00-2:30 on FRIDAY. We will be sending home information regarding group acts and costumes by group email later this afternoon.
If your child would like to participate in an act other than their group act, please fill out the Talent show form emailed out as an attachment with this newsletter.
Please be sure to read the section from our nurse, Nurse Tanya. She has some important information in regards to the health of our wonderful campers.
Please remember to send you campers with WATERBOTTLES each day! We want to make sure our campers stay hydrated especially with the coming hot days!
We are so thankful to have your campers with us this summer. Thank you for entrusting your kids to us for another wonderful summer at Camp Northlake.

An important message from Nurse Tanya
Dear Camp Families,
We are beginning to see an increase in COVID-19 numbers within St. Tammany Parish. We are closely monitoring this data and are continuing to maintain preventative measures during camp. Your cooperation with home monitoring is as always appreciated. If you suspect that any member of your household is ill and you are planning to test that individual we ask that you keep your campers home until a negative result has been obtained. Additionally, if you are noting 2 or more symptoms ( listed below) please keep your camper home until they have shown improvement. If you should have a positive result occur in your home please notify us immediately that way we can take any necessary measures for the safety of our campers, camp families, and our staff. We look forward to finishing up the summer strong. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 985-635-0505 or email me at twasson@northlakechristian.org.
