Pap Smears?

A female gets a Pap smear if there are any problems with a girl's cervix. Pap smears help to identify possible infections that have the potential of developing into cancer if they are not treated. The recommended age to get a pap smear isn't until a female turns 21. After this age she should she should start getting regular Pap smears in order to monitor her health. Women in their twenties don't have to go but every 3 years with frequent healthy test results.

This exam serves as an easy way for males to check their own testicles to make sure that there aren't any unusual lumps or bumps, which could be a sign of testicular cancer. On average, it mainly affects males between the ages of 15 and 35. Males should consider these exams around the targeted age of males.

Prostate exams?

This exam is recommended for men between the ages of 40 and 75. After getting the exam a doctor will inform the patient what the next step to take is. Prostate cancer is a form of cancer that generally starts in the glands of the prostate. Although this cancer can spread quickly, it most often grows slowly. One of the main problems with this cancer is that it can be difficult for both the individual with the cancer as well as the doctor to detected it.

Mammograms?

Mammograms are for Women; a mammogram is a picture of the breast using X-Ray. This type of procedure is used to check for breast cancer in women. Mammograms can also help to identify if any lumps, pain, thickening of the skin of the breast, nipple discharge, or a change in breast size or shape which could be a sign of breast cancer. If breast cancer has been common within the individuals family then they get the exam by the age of 40 or even earlier.
